Parshas Bamidbar: Counting the Leviim

So this week’s parsha has a lot of counting. There’s a census, B’nei Yisrael are counted, every male from age 20 and up, with one exception:

אַ֣ךְ אֶת־מַטֵּ֤ה לֵוִי֙ לֹ֣א תִפְקֹ֔ד וְאֶת־רֹאשָׁ֖ם לֹ֣א תִשָּׂ֑א בְּת֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
